Over the past 5 years, I have tutored extensively for the ACT and SAT, helping almost 50 students achieve substantial point increases on the exams. I offer a personal experience that goes beyond the typical tutoring experience. I have helped my students see SAT score increases of 200+ points, and ACT increases of 7+ points.

I DO NOT PROMISE SCORE INCREASES. I only promise giving my best to each student, as well as an enriching experience at an affordable price. If you are skeptical about hiring me as a tutor since you have not seen me operate before, I do offer a shorter free trial session for each student upon request.

The key word in the first paragraph is that I have “helped” these students achieve these score increases. While we will definitely make strides in our 1-on-1 sessions, it is paramount that students do additional work outside of our tutoring sessions. I have a plethora of resources to assign an amount of homework that fits the needs of each student.

My specialized services include:

• In-person meetings

  • I also can meet remotely via zoom, but in-person sessions tend to work better

• Personalized study plans/calendars

• Drill sheets (i.e. practice problems focused on specific topics/question types)

• Timing practice

• Free cheat sheets and study guides that serve as helpful summary-level review

My rates:

I charge $100/hr. I know for most families that is a lot of money, but I also know how crazy the tutoring prices are on Long Island right now. I try to strike the happy medium of affordability while still being able to provide the highest quality service available.

Additionally, once we start, your rate will not change. For example, if I raise my rate to $120 in the future, but your current rate is $100, you will continue to pay $100.

If you are interested in group sessions, I also offer those. I will note that I have not done many of them before. My rate per group session is $60/person and each group session would last for an hour and fifteen minutes.
