I aim to make my ACT and SAT tutoring as accessible as possible. While my private sessions are not cheap, they are considerably affordable compared to most Long Island based tutors.

The goal of this website is not only to provide more background on myself, but also to provide as many students as possible with free and helpful resources.

My Story

School did not always work for me. While I was generally a good test taker, I frequently felt bored in school. I was simply unmotivated. Suddenly, an opportunity presented itself.

I always knew I wanted to go to a prestigious university, and Johns Hopkins was my dream school. I thought it would be my opportunity to get an Ivy League level education while also playing baseball in college. After speaking to the baseball coach, it was clear my current 30 on the ACT was not going to cut it, and I was going to have to pick it up in some of my classes to finish the year strong. The baseball coach at Hopkins told me to strive for a 35 on the ACT and at least a 3.9 unweighted GPA.

An ACT tutor helped me get my ACT score from a 30 to a 32, and working with my teachers after school helped me get my GPA to almost a 4.0 unweighted. While my GPA was in a good spot, my ACT score was not where it needed to be if I wanted to get into Hopkins. I practiced for the ACT every day over the summer between my junior and senior years of high school and retook the ACT one last time in September. The results were amazing: I got a 35 and was able to get into Hopkins.

During that studying process, I learned the tips and tricks required to master the ACT exam. More than anything, I realized the importance of hard work and dedication, something that I want to instill in this next generation as much as possible. I knew that since I had mastered the ACT, tutoring for the exam was a way for me to give back to my community and help other students achieve the same results as me. As a result, I took the time in college to remaster the ACT and learn the SAT exam like the back of my hand. I have since received perfect scores on both exams which is a testament of my mastery.

Today, I run Blitz Test Prep while attending Law School at St. Johns University full time on a large academic scholarship. I previously worked a consultant full-time for a major firm in the New York Metropolitan Area.

Below is my academic resume along with some of the recent results my students have had after working with me. On average, my students’ scores increase by over 4 points on the ACT, and 130 points on the SAT. Of course, the SAT has changed as of March 2024 and is offered in a digital format and I have already helped multiple students achieve great point increases on the new exam.
